In fact the rise in the water bill could be by almost 1300%. There is an online petition on the 10 Downing Street website http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/ChurchWaterBills/ calling for the Prime Minister to step in. It is unfair to just have 2 pricing categories - domestic and business(anyone who does not fall into the domestic category). This means that not only churches, but also other charities, village and community halls, scout huts etc will be charged under the same price structure as Tesco's!
